University of Madras invites application for the Department of Malayalam

The Madras University is inviting applicants for University Research Fellowship for the department of Malayalam under the Oriental Research Institute. Application forms can be procured from the Registrar in the Chepauk Campus.

2. Name of the post: University Research Fellowship (URF).

Eligibility criteria:

1. Educational qualifications:Candidates who are looking forward apply should be having a M.A. degree with minimum of 55% marks (Malayalam) and a postgraduation degree from a recognised university. The applicants with a Ph.D research at present without any fellowship are also eligible for these posts.
   There is no age limit for the concerned posts.
2. Selection process:The selection will be done on the basis of an interview that will be conducted from the part of the university, details of which will be notified to the candidates from the concerned university authority.
3. Pay scale:  The pay scale for the post of fellowship is Rs 7,000 per month and Rs 5,000 per month for the contingency.  
4. How to apply: Eligible candidates may send their application to the Head of the Department, Department of Malayalam, Oriental Research Institute, Marina Campus, University of Madras, Chennai-5 on or before April 8.
5. Application fee: Candidates will have to pay Rs 200 by demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Madras University.
