Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under Department of Space has invited applications for recruitment of Medical Officers and Scientists/Engineers. Established in 1969, ISRO is India's primary space agency and is in charge of advancing space technology on behalf of Government of India. Last date for application is May 30, 2014.

Vacancies:

Medical Officer-SD (Physician): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 6,600
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 40 years. The candidate should have a MD/DNB Degree in General Medicine or internal Medicine.

Medical Officer-SC (Gynaecology): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP 5,400 + NPA
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have a MBBS Degree and Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Medical Officer-SC (Paediatrics): 2

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400 + NPA
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have a MBBS Degree and Diploma in Paediatrics.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Industrial Engineering): 3

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have M.Tech / M.E/ MSc Engineering Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Structural Engineering): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have M.Tech / M.E/ MSc Engineering Degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Human Resource):1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have a BE/B.Tech/BSc Engineering Degree or equivalent in any discipline.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Chemical): 2

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have a BE/B.Tech/BSc Engineering Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Chemistry): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have an MSc Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Organic Chemistry): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have an MSc Degree in Analytical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry.

Scientist/engineer-SC (Industrial Safety): 1

• Salary: Rs 15,600 - Rs 39,100 + GP Rs 5,400
• Eligibility: Age of the candidate should be above 18 years and below 35 years. The candidate should have an M.Tech / M.E/ MSc Engineering Degree or equivalent in Industrial Safety.

Selection 

• Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in an interview.

Age limit:

• The applicant should not be more than 35 years of age as on April 20, 2014. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Eligibility criteria:

• For MT01: The applicant should have a ME/M.Tech or equivalent degree in RF/Microwave/Radar with BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics Engineering.
• For MT02: The applicant should have a ME/M.Tech or equivalent in Control Systems with BE/B.Tech or Equivalent in Electronics Engineering.
• For MT03: The applicant should have a ME/M.Tech or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering with BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering.
• For MT04: The applicant should have a M.Tech/M.E/MSc Engineering in Applied Optics/Optics with BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in engineering or MSc in Physics.
• For MC01: The applicant should have a MSc degree in Chemistry.
• For JRF01: The applicant should have a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science.
• For JRF02: The applicant should have a MSc degree in Chemistry.
• For JRF03: The applicant should have a M.Tech / M.E/MSc Engineering in Applied Optics /Optics with BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in engineering or MSc in Physics.
• For JRF04: The applicant should have a MSc degree in Physics.

Application fees:

• The candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs 100/- through Demand Draft from any of the nationalised bank in favour of the Accounts Officer, ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore.
• Women candidates, SC, ST and PWD candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected for the advertised posts on the basis of their performance in the interview.
