Eligibility criteria
  1. Educational qualification: The candidate must have a MBBS degree and must be registered with the Punjab Medical Council or with any other recognised medical council. The candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language(or acquire it in six months after services begin) failing which they shall be terminated.
  2. Age limit: The eligible candidate must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 37 years old.

Answer Keys of UPPSC Preliminary Examination 2014 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on August 3 are out and available on the official website.

Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Upper Subordinate Preliminary Examination 2014 was held on August 3 at 790 centres of 20 districts of the state.
Around 55.26 per cent of the total Combined Upper Subordinate Services Examination (preliminary)-2014 or PCS (prelims)-2014 candidates appeared for the exam.
The exam was conducted in the existing Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) pattern.
The exam comprises of two General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II.  The General Studies Paper II had 100 questions while Paper-I has 150 question, from all the section of the Syllabus notified with the notification of the examination.

PSTET details
  1. Paper I: For Classes I-V
  2. Paper II: For Classes VI-VIII

Eligibility criteria:
For Classes I-V (Primary Stage): The candidates should have passed their class 12th examination or its equivalent with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or should be appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Or the candidates should have passed class 12th examination with minimum 45 per cent marks and passed or should be appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.  
  • Or the candidate should have cleared class 12th minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or should be appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Or the candidate should be a graduate and must have passed or should be appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): The candidate should be a graduate and must have passed or should be appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Or the candidate should be a graduate with 50 per cent aggregate marks and must have passed or should be appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Or the candidate should have cleared class 12th or its equivalent with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Or the candidate should be a graduate with 50 per cent aggregate marks and must have passed or should be appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Application fees:
  • In case the candidates wish to apply for either Paper I or Paper II, they are required to pay an application fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST Category/Differently Abled candidates).
  • In case the candidates wish to apply for both Paper I or Paper II, they are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1200 (Rs 600 for SC / ST Category/Differently Abled candidates).
  • The fee can be paid through Challan or Credit/Debit Card. Ex-Servicemen Self-only candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
