Education Department Chandigarh Administration invites online application to fill up various teaching posts on regular basis.

Vacancy Details:

• Total Posts: 592 posts

Name of the posts:

• Junior Basic Teaher: 489 posts and
• Nursery Teachers: 103 posts

Educational Qualification:

• For JBT: Graduate or its equivalent from a recognized university with 40% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks at 10+2 level.
• Diploma in Basic Teacher Training of not less than 2 years duration recognized by NCTE, with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• For the post of Nursery Teacher:
• Senior sec. School Certificate (10+2) or intermediate or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate and NTT certificate/Diploma of not less than two years duration with at least 50% marks recognized by Chandigarh Administration.

Age Limit:

1. For the post Of JBT: 21-30 years
2. For the post of Nursery Teacher: 18-27 
3. As on January 1, 2014.

• Pay Scale: Rs 10,300-34,800+ Grade Pay 4200(with initial start of Rs 16, 290) plus allowances

Selection procedure:

• Two objective type tests of 100 marks each will be conducted. Candidates will be slected in the basis of total marks obtained in two tests. Qualifying marks for each test will be 40% for SC category and 45% for all other candidates. There will be no negative marking
• Merit list prepared on the basis of marks in written test will be uploaded on the web site.
• List of selected candidates will be released after checking the eligibility conditions.

How to apply:

• Applications can be submitted only 'online' upto November 25, 2014.
• After submission of online application, registeration form will be generated. Candidate has to take out two printout of the registration form and the same has to be brought on the date of verification of documents along with original and photo copy of all documents.

Pay Scale: 

• The selected candidates would be earning a monthly salary of Rs 10300 to Rs 34800 with grade pay of Rs 4200.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done graduation or its equivalent from a recognized University with 40 per cent marks in aggregate and at least 50 per cent marks at 10+2 level, Diploma in Basic Teacher Training of not less than 2 years duration recognized by NCTE with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate for, Senior Secondary School Certificate Intermediate or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate and Diploma or certificate in NIT or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE of not less than 2 years duration with at least 50 per cent marks.
• Selection Procedure: A written test would be conducted to select candidates.
