Educational qualification:
  • Junior geographical assistant: Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a Bachelor's degree in Geography/Statistics/Mathematics from a recgonised university.
  • Statistical assistant: Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a Bachelor's degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics from a reputed university.
  • Technical assistant: Candidates applying for this post should have passed intermediate science or equivalent examination or the candidate should have a diploma in printing from a recognised university with at least two years of experience in camera operation, retouching and offset printing.
  • Research assistant: Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a degree in Geography or Geology from a concerned university.
  • Assistant pharmacognocist: Candidates applying for this post should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science with Botany and Chemistry or B.Pharma.
  • Assistant chemist: Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject.
  • Assistant biochemist: Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a degree in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject.
Selection process: Candidates will be short listed on the basis of their performances in the interview/personality test/ proficiency test/skill test.
Pay scale:
  • Junior geographical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 per month.
  • Statistical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 per month.
  • Technical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 per month.
  • Research assistant: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 per month.
  • Assistant pharmacognocist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 per month.
  • Assistant chemist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 per month.
  • Assistant biochemist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 per month.

The interested and eligible candidates can apply by April 13.
The candidates who get short listed on the basis of their performances in the interview/personality test/ proficiency test/skill test will be placed in the following pay scale:
  • Junior geographical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 + 2,800 per month.
  • Statistical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 + 2,800 per month.
  • Technical assistant: Rs 5,200 - 20,200 + 2,800 per month.
  • Research assistant: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 + 4,200 per month.
  • Assistant pharmacognocist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 + 4,200 per month.
  • Assistant chemist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 + 4,200 per month.
  • Assistant biochemist: Rs 9,300 - Rs 34,800 + 4,200 per month.
  1. Candidates living in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul ad Spiti District and Pangi, Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates living abroad can apply by April 20.

Pay Scale

Educational Qualification
Senior Technical Assistant 
  • Candidates should have a degree in Agriculture or have a post graduate degree in agronomy/plant breeding/genetics from the recognized university or equivalent. Experience in food  crops/ cash crops is desirable

Quarantine Inspector 
  • Candidates should have completed bachelor's degree of Science in Zoology or Microbiology and have a two years of experience in veterinary laboratory of Central or State Government or Indian Council of Agricultural Research.

Senior Store Assistant 
  • Candidates should have a recognised degree from a university with three experience of store keeping in drawing office or research organisation. Good knowledge of purchasing stores through tender director general of supplies and disposals is necessary

Junior Geographical Assistant: 
  • Candidates should have a honour's degree in Geography/Mathematics/Statistics from a recognised university.

Eligibility criteria:
  1. For senior technical assistant: Candidates should possess a degree in Agriculture/Plant breeding/Genetics.

  • Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years.

  1. For quarantine inspector: Candidates applying for this post should possess a degree of Bachelors of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one of the subjects. Candidates should hold two years of experience of conducting research or experiments or measurement in a veterinary laboratory of central or state government or any university or Indian Council of Agricultural Research or of any autonomous body.

  • Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years.    

  1. For Senior store assistant: Candidates applying for this post are required to possess a degree with three years of experience of store keeping including keeping of records thereof in a drawing office or research organisation or government office or undertakings.
  2. Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 27 years.    
  3. For junior geographical assistant: Candidates should possess an Honours degree in Geography/Mathematics and Science.

  • Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 25 years of age.
