South Eastern Railway invites applications for recruitment to various posts

South Eastern Railway has invited applications for recruitment to various positions by engaging eligible candidates against scouts and guides quota.

Vacancies-

1. Group 'C'- 2 posts
2. Group 'D' (erstwhile)- 10 posts

Eligibility-
Group 'C'- 

• For NTPC: candidate should have minimum matriculation or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate. The stipulation of 50% marks is not applicable having higher than matriculation qualification and SC/ST candidates.
• For technical categories- candidate should have passed ACT apprenticeship/ITI.
• Certificate of Act apprenticeship/ITI must be approved by SCVT/NCVT.

Group 'D'-

• The applicant should have passed class 10th from a recognized board/ university or ITI.
• Besides these qualifications,  candidates for both the posts should be a president's scouts/ guides/ ranger/ rover or Himalayan wood badge holder

Salary-

• Group 'C'- Selected candidates will be paid in Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/ Rs.2000 per month
• Group 'D'- Selected candidates will be paid in Pay Band 1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 per month

Age limit-

• Group 'C'- The minimum age of the applying candidate is 18 years and a maximum of 30 years.
• Group 'D'- The minimum age of the applying candidate is 18 years and a maximum of 30 years.

Selection Process-

• Candidates will be subjected to medical examination by railway medical authority prior to their appointment after due selection.

• An examination fee of Rs.100/- has to be paid by UR and OBC candidates for completing the registration.

Western Railway has released recruitment notification against Scouts & Guides Quota 2014-15. The eligible candidates can apply through prescribed format before December 15, 2014. 
The Western Railway is one of the 17 zones of Indian Railways, and is among the busiest railway networks in India.

Eligibility Criteria

• Group C: Candidates must be 10th passed or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
• Erstwhile Group D: Candidates must be 10th passed or its equivalent.
• Scouts & Guides Qualification
• Candidate must be a president's Scout or Guide Ranger or Rover or Himalayan Wood Badge Holder or a Pre - HWB Trained scout leader or Advanced Trained Guide or Leader or Captain.
• Candidate must have been an active member of Scouts Organisation for at least 03 years in the recent past and should continue to be active.
• Candidate must have attended at least one event at National Level and 1 or 2 events at State Level. OR Should have a good record of participation in Scouts or Guides activities at Unit/District Level.

Pay Scale

• Group C: Rs.5200-20200 + GP of Rs. 1900/- OR 2000/-
• Erstwhile Group D: Rs.5200-20200 + GP of Rs. 1800/-

Age limit

• Group C: Candidates age must be between 18 to 30 years as on 1 January 2015.
• Erstwhile Group D: Candidates age must be between 18 to 33 years as on 1 January 2015.

Application Fee 

• OBC and Unreserved candidate have to pay Rs.100/- as application fees.
• SC/ST/EXSM/PWD /Women /Minority candidates/Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee.
• Selection Process
• Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test, Scout & Guide Qualification over and above the minimum prescribed eligibility condition and Personality Test/Interview.
