AIIMS New Delhi notifies vacancies for various posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has announced job openings for various posts under a DBT funded research project. The interested and eligible candidates may apply online according to the given format.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• Dietician: The candidates should have an M.Sc in food and nutrition from a recognised university or institution.

Lab technician:

• The candidates should have a B.Sc in medical laboratory technology from a recognised university, or
• They should have passed Class 12 or Intermediate with science subjects from a recognised Board, or
• The candidates should have a diploma in medical laboratory technology from a recognised institute

Driver: The candidates should have knowledge of motor mechanism and should be able to resolve minor defects in vehicles. They must have a valid driver's license.

Experience:

• Dietician: The candidates should have at least two years' experience in their field, preferably at teaching hospitals. They should have previously worked at a community setting or field posting.
• Lab technician: The candidates should have a minimum of one year's experience at a NABL certified medical laboratory.
• Driver: The candidates are required to have at least three years' experience in driving motor vehicles for a government or PSU organisation. They must have experience of driving in Delhi NCR region.

Age limit:

• Dietician: The upper age limit for the candidates is 35 years as on May 6.
• Lab technician: The candidates should be in the age group of 18 to 30 years as on May 6.
• Driver: The candidates should be in the age group of 18 to 30 years as on May 6.

Pay scale:

• Dietician: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 25,020.
• Lab technician: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 14,400.
• Driver: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 13,500.
• Selection procedure: The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their applications, and these shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Technical Assistant-

• Dietician-The maximum age limit of the applying candidate should be 30 years.
• Technical Assistant- The maximum age limit of the applying candidate should be 25 years

Selection Process-

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of education qualification, academic records, percentage of marks etc. or through a screening test as decided by the recruitment committee.

Educational Qualification:

• For Staff Nurse: Candidates applying for this post should have passed HSc examination or its equivalent. Also, candidates are required to possess a degree/ diploma in general nursing and midwifery/ psychiatric nursing. Besides, candidates should have registered as a nurse and midwifery in any state Nursing Council in India.
• For Dietician: Candidates who wish to apply for this post should possess a BA or BSc. degree with Chemistry or Physiology as one of the subjects or a degree in Domestic Science, or Nursing or Medicine and Surgery. Also, candidates should possess a diploma in Dietetics of the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Calcutta or any other Institution or body recognised by the Government of Madras.
• For Orthotic Technician: Candidates should possess a diploma in Prosthetics/ Orthotics from a recognised institute. Also, candidates should have acquired three years experience as Prosthetic/ Orthotic Technician.
• For Fitter: Candidates applying for this post should have passed III Form. Also, candidates should possess craftsmanship certificate issued by the ministry of labour and employment, GOI. or by ITI. or by any other recognised institution.
• Age limit: Candidates applying for either of the aforementioned posts should age between 18 and 32 years.

Pay Scale:

• For staff nurse: Pay Band - 2 and pay scale of Rs 9, 300 to Rs 34, 800 plus grade pay  Rs 4, 600 per  month.

• For dietician: Pay Band - 2 and pay scale of Rs 9, 300 to Rs 34, 800 plus grade pay  Rs 4, 200 per  month.

• For orthotic technician: Pay Band - 2 and pay scale of Rs 9, 300 to Rs 34, 800 plus grade pay  Rs 4, 200 per  month.

• For fitter: Pay Band - 1 and pay scale of Rs 5, 200 to Rs 20, 200 plus  grade pay  Rs 1, 900 per  month.

Selection procedure:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test/ trade test/ practical/ skill test/ personal interview.
