Indian Air Force has invited applications for recruitment at the post of 'commissioned officer' in meteorology branch. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by August 9.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:
The candidates applying for this post are required to possess a postgraduate degree in Science/Mathematics/ Statistics/Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Sciences/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geo-Physics/ Environmental Biology, having acquired at least 50 per cent aggregate marks.
Age limit:
  • The candidates applying for this post should age between 20 and 25 years.

Physical Standards:
  1. Minimum height (male candidates): 157.5 cms with correlated weight.
  2. Minimum height (female candidates): 152 cms with correlated weight.

Pay Scale:
  • Pay Band (PB - 3) Rs 15, 600 to Rs 39, 100 with grade pay plus other allowances as admissible.

Selection process:
  • The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the intelligent test to be followed by a psychological test, group test and personal interview. The interview is scheduled to be held at one of the Air Force Station Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi. Also, the candidates will have to appear for a medical examination scheduled to take place at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bengaluru based on the recommendations at AFSB. The medically fit candidates will be called for training.

How to apply:
  • In order to apply, the candidates are required to send their duly filled application form to the "Post Bag No. 001, Nirman Bhawan Post Office, New Delhi - 110 106". The candidates are required to send the attested copies of testimonials/ certificates relating to educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, category (SC/ ST/ OBC), etc. with a self-addressed envelope along. Also, the candidates should affix a postal stamp of Rs 27 and three recent passport size photographs should be affixed on the application form too.

Indian Navy has invited applications for recruitment to the post of commissioned officer.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by August 5. The jobs will be provided in executive and technical branches of Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme. The course shall commence from June 15.

  • The candidates applying for the post should have completed BE/ B.Tech in concerned discipline.
Age limit:
  • The candidates applying for this post should be aged between 19 and 24 years as on July 1, 2015.
Selection process:
  1. The candidates will be selected on the basis of:
    Interview by Naval campus selection team. Thereafter, the candidates will have to pass SSB interview.
  2. The interview will take place in two stages:
    Stage I: Intelligent test, picture perception and group discussion;
    Stage II: Psychological test, group tasks and interview.
  3. The candidates will then be put to medical examination.
    The branch selection will be done by IHQ-MoD (Navy) on the basis of the vacancies available in a particular branch.

  • In order to apply, the candidates are required to log in to the official website of Indian Navy. On submitting the duly filled application forms, the candidates are required to take a printout of the same and submit it to the campus selection team of Indian Navy at the time of campus interview.
