UPSC notifies recruitment to various posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced vacancies in different ministries. The interested and eligible candidates may apply online according to the prescribed format.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• Assistant director (Electrical): The candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university or institute. Or, they should have passed the Associate Membership Examination Part I and II of the Institution of Engineers in Electrical Engineering
• Assistant director (Mechanical): The candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university or institute. Or, they should have passed the Associate Membership Examination Part I and II of the Institution of Engineers in Mechanical Engineering
• Assistant director (Textile): The candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E degree in Textile Engineering from a recognised university or institute. Or, they should have passed the Associate Membership Examination Part I and II of the Institution of Engineers in Textile Engineering
• Assistant directors (Chemical): The candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognised university or institute. Or, they should have passed the Associate Membership Examination Part I and II of the Institution of Engineers in Chemical Engineering
• Assistant directors (Paper): The candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E degree in Paper Engineering from a recognised university or institute. Or, they should have passed the Associate Membership Examination Part I and II of the Institution of Engineers in Paper Engineering
• Scientist: The candidates should have a Master's degree in Physics from a recognised university or institute

Experience:

• Assistant director (Electrical): The candidates who have at least one year's experience in manufacturing or processing or development or testing of Engineering Stores related to Electrical Engineering or Technology will be given preference
• Assistant director (Mechanical): The candidates who have at least one year's experience in manufacturing or processing or development or testing of Engineering Stores related to Mechanical Engineering or Technology will be given preference
• Assistant director (Textile): The candidates who have at least one year's experience in manufacturing or processing or development or testing of Engineering Stores related to Textile Engineering or Technology will be given preference
• Assistant directors (Chemical): The candidates who have at least one year's experience in manufacturing or processing or development or testing of Engineering Stores related to Chemical Engineering or Technology will be given preference
• Assistant directors (Paper): The candidates who have at least one year's experience in manufacturing or processing or development or testing of Engineering Stores related to Paper Engineering or Technology will be given preference
• Scientist: The candidates must have at least three years' experience in research in physics

Age limit:

• Assistant director (Electrical): The upper age limit for this post is 30 years
• Assistant director (Mechanical): The upper age limit for this post is 30 years
• Assistant director (Textile): The upper age limit for this post is 30 years
• Assistant directors (Chemical): The upper age limit for this post is 30 years
• Assistant directors (Paper): The upper age limit for this post is 30 years
• Scientist: The upper age limit for this post is 35 years

Pay scale:

• Assistant director (Electrical): The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 29,607 per month
• Assistant director (Mechanical): The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 29,607 per month
• Assistant director (Textile): The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 29,607 per month
• Assistant directors (Chemical): The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 29,607 per month
• Assistant directors (Paper): The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 29,607 per month
• Scientist: The candidates will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 43,470 per month

1. Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a recruitment by selection. However, for a few posts a recruitment test and an interview may be conducted.
2. Application procedure: The candidates are required to apply online at the official websitewww.upsconline.nic.in. No other mode of application will be accepted.
3. Application fee: The candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 25. The payment should be made by remitting the money at any branch of SBI or through net banking. There is no fee for SC, ST and PwD category candidates.
4. Important dates: The last date for submitting online applications is May 28.
5. The last date for printing the completely filled application is May 29.
