Delhi University announces recruitment to 463 different posts

Delhi University has notified recruitment to several teaching posts. A total of 463 vacancies are available for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The interested and eligible candidates may apply online by June 3.

Eligibility criteria:

Educational qualification:

• Professor: The candidates should have a good academic record throughout. They should have a Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline. The applicants must hold a Master's degree from a recognised university or institution. They should have a minimum score of 55 percent in the Master's degree. Also, the candidates should have a minimum score as stipulated in the API based PBAS, as per the UGC guidelines
• Associate professor: The candidates should have a good academic record throughout. They should have a Ph.D degree in the concerned discipline. The applicants must hold a Master's degree from a recognised university or institution. They should have a minimum score of 55 percent in the Master's degree. Also, the candidates should have a minimum score as stipulated in the API based PBAS, as per the UGC guidelines
• Assistant professor: The candidates should have a good academic record throughout. They must hold a Master's degree in the concerned discipline from a recognised university or institution. They should have a minimum score of 55 percent in the qualifying degree. Also, the candidates should have cleared the NET conducted by the UGC, CSIR or any equivalent test

Experience:

• Professor: The candidates must have at least ten years of experience in teaching and, or research in an academic or research position at the level of an Assistant Professor
• Associate professor: The candidates must have at least eight years' experience in teaching and, or research in an academic or research position at the level of an Assistant Professor
• Assistant professor: It is not mandatory for candidates to have any work experience

Pay scale:

• Professor: The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay band of Rs 37,400 to Rs 67,000, along with an AGP of Rs 10,000 per month
• Associate professor: The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay band of Rs 37,400 to Rs 67,000, along with an AGP of Rs 9,000 per month
• Assistant professor: The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay band of Rs 15,600 to Rs 39,100, along with an AGP of Rs 6,000 per month
• Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic record, research work and publications. They will have to go through an interview round.
• Application procedure: The candidates are required to apply online at www.du.ac.in. No other mode of application will be accepted. Offline mode of application is available only for PwD category students.

Application fee:

1. Professor: The candidates under UR and OBC categories have to pay a fee of Rs 2,000, while those under the SC, ST and PwD categories have to pay Rs 1000
2. Associate professor: The candidates under UR and OBC categories have to pay a fee of Rs 2,000, while those under the SC, ST and PwD categories have to pay Rs 1,000
3. Assistant professor: The candidates under UR and OBC categories have to pay a fee of Rs 300, while those under the SC, ST and PwD categories have to pay Rs 150
4. The payment can be made online through debit or credit card.
