Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services (KFES) has invited applications for 1859 posts. Eligible candidates may apply before or on April 7.

  1. Fire Station Officer: 87 
  2. Fireman: 1324 
  3. Fire Office Driver: 352 
  4. Driver Mechanic: 96 
Eligibility:
  1. For Fire station officer: Education qualification: Candidates applying for the post must have a Bachelor's degree in Science/Physics/Chemistry combination group subjects from the recognized university. The retired Ex-Serviceman is more preferable.
  2. Age limit: Candidates should not be below 21 years. Maximum age limit for SC/ST category is 28 years. And for any other reserved category the maximum age limit should be 26 years.
  3. For Fireman: Educational qualification: Candidates must qualify SSLC/10th standard or equivalent examination. Also, candidate should have Kannada should be an optional subject at school level.
  4. Age limit: Candidates age limit should be below 18 years. The maximum age limit is 26 years for general category candidates and 28 years for other category candidates.
  5. For Fire Officer Driver:Educational qualification: Candidates must qualify SSLC/10th Standard or equivalent examination with Kannada as options subject at school level. Candidate is required to have a valid driving license.
  6. Age Limit: Candidates age limit should not be below 18 years of the applicants. For general category candidates candidate age limit should be below 26 years. For SC/ST Category candidates age limit is 28 years.
  7. For Driver Mechanic:Education Qualification: Candidates must qualify SSLC/10th Standard or equivalent examination passes ITI in automobile Trade from the recognized university or institution. Kannada should be an optional subject for the students at school level. Candidates should have valid driving license.
  8. Age limit: Aspirants age limit should be below 18 years. For general category candidates should below 26 years and for other categories candidates should be above 28 years.
  9. How to apply: Candidates should pay Rs 250 as the application fee and remaining fee for the reserved category candidates is Rs 100 should be drawn in the favour of KFES. Application fee can be paid through the bank challan from the State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Hyderabad Branches.
  10. Selection procedure: Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of written examination, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test(PET).
