Coast Guard Region of Gujarat recruitment: 6 vacancies

Coast Guard Region (NW), Gandhinagar (Gujarat) has announced recruitment for 6 posts on deputation/direct recruitment basis. 
Vacancies: 

• Total number of vacancies: 06 posts
• Classification: Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
• Engine Driver: 01 post
• Assistant Store Keeper: 3 posts
• MTS (Safaiwala): 2 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

Qualification: 

• Engine Driver: The applying candidate must have cleared matriculation or equivalent with Certificate of competency of Engine Driver or equivalent and minimum of two years service as Sarang on a Vessel of more than 400 BHP.
• Assistant Store Keeper: The applying candidates must have passed matriculation or equivalent with one year experience in handling stores.
• MTS (Safaiwala): The candidates applying for this post must have cleared their matriculation or equivalent with minimum 2 years experience in cleaning.

Age Limit: 

• Engine Driver: 18 - 30 years
• Assistant Store Keeper: 18 - 27 years
• MTS (Safaiwala): 18 - 27 years
• Age relaxations are applicable as per government rules.

Job Location: 

• Engine Driver: DHQ-1, Porbandar
• Assistant Store Keeper: Coast Guard Store Depot, Porbandar
• MTS (Safaiwala): ICGS Okha & ICGS Vadinar

Pay Scale: 

• Engine Driver: Pay Band 1 of Rs 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs 2,400 per month
• Assistant Store Keeper: Pay Band 1 of Rs 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs 1,900 per month
• MTS (Safaiwala): Pay Band 1 of Rs 5,200-20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs 1,800 per month

Selection Procedure: 

• The selection of the candidates would be done on the basis of their performance in the written test, trade test (if applicable) and interview conducted by the organization.
