Chandigarh Education Department invites applications for recruitment to 592 teaching positions

The Chandigarh Education Department has invited eligible candidates to send applications for recruitment to its 592 various posts on teachers.

• Junior Basic Teachers (JBTs) - 489 Posts
• Nursery Teachers - 103 Posts

Pay Scale: 

• The selected candidates would be earning a monthly salary of Rs 10300 to Rs 34800 with grade pay of Rs 4200.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should have done graduation or its equivalent from a recognized University with 40 per cent marks in aggregate and at least 50 per cent marks at 10+2 level, Diploma in Basic Teacher Training of not less than 2 years duration recognized by NCTE with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate for, Senior Secondary School Certificate Intermediate or its equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate and Diploma or certificate in NIT or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE of not less than 2 years duration with at least 50 per cent marks.
• Selection Procedure: A written test would be conducted to select candidates.
