The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli, has invited applications for recruitment from eligible and interested candidates for various teaching faculty posts.
The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli, situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of river Cauvery, was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of man-power in technology for the country. The college has been conferred with autonomy in financial and administrative matters to achieve rapid development.

Name of the posts:

1. Professor
2. Associate Professor
3. Assistant Professor

Pay Scale:

1. For Post I - Rs 37400 to Rs 67000 with AGP of Rs 10500.
2. For Post II - Rs 37400 to Rs 67000 with AGP of Rs 9500.
3. For Post III - Rs 15600 to Rs 39100 with AGP of Rs 8000.

Educational Qualification:
The applicant must have passed passed graduate or equivalent qualification from a recognised board / university.

Selection Procedure:
An interview and a written test would be conducted to shortlist candidates.
