Staff Selection Commission announces job vacancy at 11 posts

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has invited applications for recruitment at various posts. Candidates can apply latest by September 1.

3. Senior store assistant: 1 post
4. Junior Geographical Assistant: 7 posts

Eligibility criteria:

1. For senior technical assistant: Candidates should possess a degree in Agriculture/Plant breeding/Genetics.

• Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years.

1. For quarantine inspector: Candidates applying for this post should possess a degree of Bachelors of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one of the subjects. Candidates should hold two years of experience of conducting research or experiments or measurement in a veterinary laboratory of central or state government or any university or Indian Council of Agricultural Research or of any autonomous body.

• Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years.    

1. For Senior store assistant: Candidates applying for this post are required to possess a degree with three years of experience of store keeping including keeping of records thereof in a drawing office or research organisation or government office or undertakings.
2. Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 27 years.    
3. For junior geographical assistant: Candidates should possess an Honours degree in Geography/Mathematics and Science.

• Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 25 years of age.    

Pay Scale:

1. Senior technical assistant: Rs 9, 300- 34, 800, grade pay Rs 4, 200 (PB-2)    
2. Quarantine Inspector: Rs 9, 300- 34, 800, grade pay Rs 4, 200 (PB-2)    
3. Senior store assistant: Rs 9, 300- 34, 800, grade pay Rs 4, 200 (PB-2)    
4. Junior Geographical Assistant: Rs 5, 200- 20, 200, grade pay Rs 2, 800 (PB-1)

Selection process:

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the preliminary examination and a screening test.
