Indian Ordnance Factories shall be short-listing 1, 572 candidates for the post of 'charge man' in various trades including Mechanical, information technology, electrical, chemical, civil, metallurgy, clothing technology, leather technology, non-technical (Stores), non technical (OTS), automobile and electronics. Candidates can apply by August 9.
The eligibility criteria for different trades is mentioned below:
Candidates should be a citizen of India.
Educational qualification:
- For disciplines: Mechanical engineering/Electrical engineering/Civil engineering/Automobile/ Electronics: Candidates are required to possess three-year diploma in the relevant discipline approved by AICTE.
- For disciplines: Chemical/Metallurgy/Clothing Technology/Leather technology: Candidates are required to possess three-year diploma in the relevant discipline approved by AICTE. Or candidates should possess a BSc degree having general chemistry as one of the major subjects.
- For discipline: Information technology: Candidates applying for this post should have passed "A" level competency certificate course or an equivalent qualification in computer science recognised by the government of India.
- For Non Technical stores and Non Technical (other than stores): Candidates applying for this post should have acquired a graduate degree in engineering/technical/humanities/science/commerce/ law etc.
Age limit:
- Candidates applying for either of the trades should not be above 27 years. Candidates belonging to OBC category should not be above 30 years. For those belonging to SC/ST category, age relaxation of five years is applicable. Also, for physically handicapped persons, candidates will be provided age relaxation of ten years.
