NIFT notifies recruitment at 5 posts

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has invited applications for recruitment at various posts. The interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by July 15.

Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:

1. Machine Mechanic: The candidates applying for this post are required to have completed their Class 12th from a recognised university. They should also possess a diploma or certificate in computer applications operations latest softwares. Also, a typing speed of 30 words per minute in English/Hindi is desirable.
2. Junior Assistant: The candidates should be graduates. They should have also acquired a diploma in Library Science and should have one year of experience as well.
3. Library Assistant: The candidates applying for this post should possess a diploma or certificate in ITI as fitter. Besides, theyshould have at least three years of experience in the relevant field.

Age limit:

1. Machine Mechanic: The candidates should be between 18 and 25 years of age.
2. Junior Assistant: The candidates applying for this post should be between 21 and 30 years.
3. Library Assistant: The candidates applying for this post should be between 18 and 35 years.

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performances in the written test to be followed by the psychometric test/skill test/ technical test and an interview.

Application fee:

• The candidates nned to pay an application fee of Rs 500. In case, the candidates belong to SC/ST category or OBC category, they are required to pay an application fee of Rs 250 only in the form of demand draft or bankers' cheque drawn in favour of "NIFT - Gandhinagar", payable at Gandhinagar.

How to apply:

• In order to apply, the candidates can send their duly filled application forms to the "Director, National Institute of Fashion Technology, NIFT Campus, GH-0 Road, Near Infocity, Gandhinagar, 382 007, Gujarat". The candidates need to send the attested copies of testimonials/certificates relating to educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, category along. Also, the candidates should affix the recent passport size photographs on the application forms.
