JIPMER recruiting for post of Junior Engineers and Lab Technicians

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has invited job applications for the post of Junior Engineer and Laboratory Technician. Interested and eligible candidates can apply before July 14, 2014.

Vacancy details:

1. Junior Engineer (Civil): 1 post, Pay scale: Rs 9,300-34,800+GP Rs 4,200
2. Junior Engineer (Electrical): 1 post, Pay scale: Rs 9,300-34,800+GP Rs 4,200
3. Laboratory Technician: 48 posts, Pay scale: Rs 5,200-20,200+GP Rs 2,800

Total number of posts: 50 posts

Eligibility criteria:

• Junior Engineer (Civil): The candidates should be a graduate in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering and have experience in design and engineering of civil projects, preferably in a hospital environment.
• Junior Engineer (Electrical): The candidate should be a graduate in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and have experience in planning, execution and maintenance of electrical installations, preferably in a hospital environment.
• Laboratory Technician: The candidate must have done B.Sc (MLT) and have one year experience in medical laboratory.

Age limit:

• The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years as on July 14, 2014.

Selection process:

• The candidates will be selected for recruitment to the advertised post on the basis of their performance in the written test, skill test and personal interview.

Application fees:

• The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ ST candidates) in case they are applying for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical).
• Candidates applying for the post of Laboratory Technician have to pay an application fee of Rs 300 (Rs 150 for SC/ ST candidates).
• The payment has to be made through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, JIPMER, payable at Pondicherry (State Bank of India - JIPMER Branch).
• Candidates belonging to the PwD category are exempted from payment of fees.

How to apply:

• Interested and eligible candidates are required to send the duly filled applications along with DD, recent passport-size photograph affixed in application and attested by a Gazetted Officer and attested copies of all required certificates / documents to: the Director, JIPMER, Puducherry - 605006
• The envelope containing the application should be superscribed as follows: Application for the Post of (Name of the post and code number)
