UPSC CDS Examination II: Process for online applications

UPSC SCRA 2014 final results out

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA), for which written examination was held on January 12, 2014 and personality test conducted on July 7 and July 16, 2014.

The medical examination will be carried on within 21 days from the date of declaration of final result. The marks of the candidates will be available at the commission's website within 15 days of the declaration of the result.
4. The SCRA examination is used for selection of aspirants to the Mechanical Department of the Indian Railways. Selected candidates will undergo a four-year training programme during which they will also complete a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. The degree will be awarded by Birla Institute of Technology Ranchi. After successful completion of their training, the aspirants will join the esteemed Indian Railway Service beginning with a probationary role as Mechanical Engineers for 18 months.
