The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2014. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply before June 30, 2014.
The UPSC will hold a Screening Test for selection to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2014 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2014. The exam is scheduled to be held on August 24, 2014.
Eligibility criteria:
- The applicant should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from a recognised University.
- The applicant's age should be between 21 to 32 years as on August 1, 2014.
Application fee:
- Interested and eligible candidates have to pay an application of Rs 100 through remitting money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/Sate Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala /State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
- Female/SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Selection procedure:
- The applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.
