The Calcutta High Court has invited applications to fill up 76 job vacancies in different categories in the Nadia judgeship. Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply for the same on or before June 15, 2014.

Total vacancies: 76 posts
1. English Stenographer (Grade -B): 9 posts
- Scale of pay: Rs 7,100 - Rs 37,600 with Grade pay Rs 3,900
- The candidate should have completed their higher secondary or equivalent and possess a certificate in computer training with satisfactory fingering speed in Computer operation. Minimum speed of 80 wpm in Shorthand and of 30 wpm in typewriting in English is required. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 32 years as on January 1, 2014.
2. Lower Division Clerk (Grade -C): 39 posts
- Scale of pay: Rs 5,400- Rs 25,200 with Grade pay Rs 2600
- The candidate should have passed his or her Madhyamik exam or equivalent and hold a certificate in Computer Training with satisfactory fingering speed in Computer operation. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 40 years as on January 1, 2014.
- 3. Process Server (Summons Bailiff): 8 posts
- Scale of pay: Rs 5,400- Rs 25,200 with Grade pay Rs 2,300
- Eligibility criterion:
- The candidate must have passes Class VIII exam or equivalent. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 40 years as on January 1, 2014.
4. Group- 'D' category: 20 posts
- Scale of pay: Rs 4,900- Rs 16,200 with Grade pay Rs 1700
- The candidate must have passes Class VIII exam or equivalent. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 40 years as on January 1, 2014.
Selection procedure:
- The candidates will be selected for recruitment on the basis of their performance in the written test/ typing test/ personality test/ Interview.
Application fees:
- The candidate will have to pay an application fee of Rs 200 (for Group B & C category posts)/ Rs 100 (for Process Server -'Summons Bailiff' & Group D category posts)/ Rs 50 (for SC category candidates)/ Rs 25 (for ST category candidates). The payment has to be made through a crossed IPO drawn in favour of District Judge, Nadia payable at Krishnagar.
