Indian Council of Medical Research recruits Scientist (Medical)

The Indian Council of Medical Research, under the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, has invited applications for the recruitment to the post of Scientist-D (Medical) at the NCDIR Bangalore branch. Last date for application is May 20, 2014.

• Vacancy: Scientist - D (Medical): 1 post
• Salary : Pay Band - 3 of Rs 15,600 - 39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs 7,600

Eligibility

• Age of the candidate should be below 45 years (relaxation of five years applicable for those working in government service and SC/ST candidates, while relaxation of three years is applicable for OBC candidates). Candidate should have an MBBS degree recognised by Medical Council of India. 
• Note: A candidate having an M.D. in Medicine or Surgery or P&SM Pathology or Radiotherapy or Biochemistry or pharmacology or related medical subjects from a recognised university will be given preference. Post doctoral research or teaching experience and knowledge of computer applications would be added benefit.

Experience

• Candidate should have a minimum of eight years experience in research and development or experience in teaching Medicine/Surgery/P&SM, Pathology/ Radiotherapy/Biochemistry/ Pharmacology/related medical subjects in recognised institute after obtaining essential qualification out of which at least two years of the experience should be in a managerial position to handle R & D projects in a team effectively in a directing capacity.

Selection

• Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in an interview. However, only candidates short-listed on the basis of merit will be called for the interview.

Application fee

• The application fee of Rs 100 for general candidates is to be submitted in the form of a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) payable to Director-in-Charge NCDIR Bangalore. SC/ST/PH and Women candidates are exempted from the payment of application fees.
