State Institute of Design, Rohtak to recruit faculty

State Institute of Design (SID), Rohtak, invites applications for recruitment to 2 faculty positions of Professor and Associate Professor (1 post each) in various disciplines on direct recruitment/ contract/ deputation basis. • Professor (Product Design): 1 post
• Eligibility: At-least 15 years of post-qualification experience of teaching in a Design Institute or relevant industrial experience only after Bachelor Degree in relevant filed.
• Age limit: 55 years (as on March 20, 2014)
• Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs 37400- 67000 with Grade Pay of Rs 9500
• Associate Professor (Textile Design/ Apparel Design): 1 post
• Eligibility: At-least 12 years of post-qualification experience of teaching in a Design Institute or relevant industrial experience only after Bachelor Degree in relevant filed.
• Age limit: 52 years (as on 20 March 2014)
• Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs 37400- 67000 with Grade Pay of Rs 8700

Selection Procedure

1. Selection will be done on the basis of candidates' performance in the interview.
2. Written test might be conducted to short-list candidates for Interview, if the number of applications received is large.
3. Intimation regarding written test (if any)/ Interview will be sent through E-mail/ Telephone to shortlisted candidates.
4. Initial appointment to all the posts will be on contractual basis for a period of two years & will be regularized on completion of two years satisfactory contractual service.
