Gauhati University, Guwahati is seeking applications for the post of JRF and Project Assistant for a research project for a period of two years. The research project sponsored by DBT, Government of India is entitled: "Exploration, Antimicrobial Evaluation and Bio-Molecular Characterization of Ethnomycologically Potent Macrofungi of Assam".

- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): 1 post
- Project Assistant: 1 post
Eligibility criteria:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): The applicant should have done his or her M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology. The candidate should also be between 18 to 25 years of age to be eligible.
- Project Assistant: The applicant should have done his or her B.Sc. in Botany. The candidate should also be between 18 to 30 years of age to be eligible.
Pay scale:
- Rs 16,000/-+HRA for NET/GATE qualified, otherwise Rs 12,000/-+ HRA for JRF.
- Rs 8,000/- for Project Assistant.
